Constance motor yacht has has been completed after a 17 month refit at Pendennis shipyard.

Originally built by Feadship in 1986, the refit of the 46.33 meter yacht has been with Pendennis’ 90 meter Hall one since March 2015. During this time, Constance still sustained some of the original systems and engine room equipment from 30 years ago. This made the boat uninsurable by the surveyor’s report.

The purpose of the refit was to establish the structural integrity of the yacht so it matched the offshore cruising requirements. They aimed to modernize the systems and equipment to reach the emission regulations and to improve efficiency. Pendennis’ in-house specialist trades and Master Yachts’ management meant there was a refresh style for the owners.

Bringing the yacht up to regulatory requirements including the latest MCA large yacht code “unrestricted service”, was a key worry. Further water tight compartment subdivisions needed attention due to damage stability.
