Brouwer takes chief executive spot at Heesen Yachts

Heesen Yachts has appointed Arthur Brouwer as its chief executive from his current post of executive chairman a post he has held since September 2014.

Brouwer has held several senior positions in industry as well as roles within private equity firms. Prior to his appointment at Heesen he was co-owner of voorzitter RVC manufacturer of Emma safety footwear. He has experience in the retail, automotive and production sectors and will be tasked with taking Heesen to its next stage of development.

Brouwer said: “It is a great privilege to head Heesen, an internationally respected company which has been setting standards of excellence and design engineering innovation for the past 38 years.

Heesen has recently seen the launch of its latest project the Galactica Super Nova that is set to make its debut at the Monaco Yacht Show that takes place from 28 September until 1 October.

Brouwer added: “My past experiences have enabled me to acquire great knowledge of the operational excellence, sales and marketing, strategy and my concrete aim moving forward is to capitalise and build on what has previously been achieved by taking Heesen to the next chapter of its history.”
