Fred van Beers appointed CEO at Blohm+Voss

As of 1st March 2015, Fred van Beers will take over from Dr Herbert Aly as CEO of Blohm+Voss.

His focus will be on developing their new superyacht division. 

Van Beers was previously the Vice President Services Northern Europe at Wärtsilä, a power solutions company for the maritime and energy markets. He has held senior leadership positions in the maritime industry for over 15 years.

He is a qualified a ship engineer and has experience leading all stages of design, engineering, production and aftermarket services.

Throughout his career at Wärtsilä and other positions in the industry, he has worked with an array of international yacht and ship owners, yacht designers and shipyards.
