Sailing yacht Adela, formerly known as Heartsease, arrived at Pendennis last month for her fourth refit.

Adela was built in 1903, restored in 1996 and then fully remodelled in 2000 to her original W.C.Storey design.

She has since undergone refits in 2006, 2011 and 2012 since. Her most recent refit includes a full engineering overhaul, new generators, new paint, and minor interior and electrical work. It was also the first time that her mainsail has been replaced since her initial remodel at Pendennis.

Adela won the Pendennis Cup in 2010. She can also boast victories in the St Barths Bucket, RORC Caribbean 600, Antigua Superyacht Challenge and the America’s Cup Superyacht Regatta over the past five years.

Feadship’s 46 metre Constance is also currently undergoing a refit.
