Netherlands yacht builder Heesen has sold its first yacht of the year, a 60-metre fast displacement yacht – Project Falcon. The yacht will be delivered to its owner in 2021.

Omega Yachts was brought in to design the yacht’s exterior, which features three decks with floor-to-ceiling windows and doors to provide panoramic views across the yacht. It accommodates 16 guests across its main, bridge and sundeck.

Project Falcon will be fitted with two MTU 12V4000 M65L diesel engines to achieve a top speed of 17.5 knots and a range of 4,200 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 13 knots.

This is the first yacht to be sold this year by Heesen. 2017 was a record for the shipyard, with six yachts sold last year through Heesen’s Fort Lauderdale office, the last being the 50-metre Project Maria. The total tonnage sold by Heesen last year was 3,476 gross tonnes.
