International Registries, Inc. and its affiliates (IRI) provide administrative and technical support to the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI) Maritime and Corporate Registries. The RMI Registry is the second largest in the world in terms of deadweight tons (DWT). Yachts currently comprise 13% of the total number of vessels in the fleet.

The RMI Registry has gained increased recognition and acceptance throughout the yachting community as a result of its efficient and cost effective registration process; personalized service and technical support available from 27 worldwide offices; and exceptional safety and operational standards as evidenced by outstanding port State control (PSC) records.

The RMI Yacht Program has undergone major revisions since June 2013 and now has a specific yacht division that is solely dedicated to yachts and their operations. The RMI Yacht Code (MI-103) was revised and officially brought to the International Maritime Organization (IMO) for all Member States to acknowledge as a substantial equivalency to certain convention regulations. The RMI Registry has addressed private yacht requirements with regards to the maximum number of guests on board, passenger yachts, and created an initiative that allows private yachts to charter for up 84 days in French and Monegasque waters.
