‘Genesi’ WIDER 150 has been awarded the MYS/RINA AWARD at the 2016 MYS Awards Ceremony.

The yacht has already won awards at the World Superyachts Awards and the World Yachts Trophy.

Held at the historical Salle Belle Époque at the Hôtel Hermitage on the eve of the Moncao Yacht show 2016, 350 guests attended the event and witnessed “Genesi” receive the 2016 MYS/RINA Award.

This prestigious trophy rewards the most eco-friendly superyacht exhibited at the show, the construction must comply with a series of performance specifications defined by the Italian classification company RINA.

“This has surpassed my expectations…this is now the fifth prestigious prize we have received for the WIDER 150…. And in the process we have beaten a number of more established shipyards. This is a team effort and would not be possible without the energy and passion of all involved with WIDER” – says Tilli Antonelli, WIDER founder and CEO.

Constructed entirely from aluminum to increase performance and allow for greater freedom and flexibility during the build process, the WIDER 150’s exterior was designed by Fulvio De Simoni in collaboration with Tilli Antonelli and the in-house WIDER design team.

The Azimuthal pod production system with diesel electric offers the owner the ability to run on battery power only for a full night in complete silence. This propulsion system also allows for reduced noise and vibrations as well as flexibility in the interior by splitting the classic engine room split into two  –  with the engine room in the bow of the yacht and the technical room with Lithium polymer battery pack in the stern, making more room in the rest of the boat. Increased fuel efficiency also allows for an extend cruising range.

The yacht features a 90m beach club as part of the 350moutdoor space on board including an opening forward terrace offering the owners privacy at dock. In addition to this it also features a 32′ rigid render, an ergonomically designed wrap around bridge and a 75m owners apartment – one of the biggest in its class.

The WIDER 150 was on display at the show accompanied by her two smaller siblings – two WIDER 32 Express Cruisers – which were visible around Port Hercule during the week.
