Italian shipyard CRN has launched its first superyacht of the year, M/Y Latona.

Latona is a collaborative project between CRN and Zuccon International Project which designed the yacht. The yacht’s styling is inspired by the CRN’s own 1960 Superconero range. The shipyard launched the superyacht at a private ceremony at its shipyard in Ancona on the 10th February.

Sleek lines and a slender profile characterise the yachts exterior, with a modest 8.6 metre beam and five wide decks. The yacht was designed for its owner to offer large open views of the sea.

Alberto Galassi, CRN’s and Ferretti Group’s CEO, said: “Every launch is a reason for great pride for the shipyard. This complex, magnificent, 50 metres construction, realises the desire of a selective and resolute owner, who has turned to the expertise and the ability of CRN to build his personal project, turning his vision into a magnificent vessel.”

The yacht comes in at under 500 gross tonnes, with a draft of 2.65 metres and is powered by two Caterpillar C32 ACERT IMO Tier II engines.
