Conor McGregor, the Irish martial arts star, has arrived in Abu Dhabi and completed his two-day quarantine aboard the €645,000 per week chartered superyacht, Moonlight II. Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) star McGregor arrived on Monday, January 18th, after final preparations ahead of Saturday’s bout with Dustin Poirier.

Moonlight II is a 91.4m, 2015 refitted superyacht with room for 36 guests across 18 cabins. The vessel also has a health and beauty centre, a fully-equipped gym, a private master deck with jacuzzi and a cinema.

Available for charter through Burgess Yachts, the firm said: “For those very special occasions, like anniversaries, family reunions or corporate celebrations, you need a yacht that can welcome more than 12 guests. That’s when you charter Moonlight II.”

The vessel also offers a range of toys. These include three tenders, two SeaBobs, wakeboard, six jet skis and scuba dive equipment.

Described by UFC welterweight Jake Matthews as the “epitome of social distancing,” McGregor’s choice of transportation matches his reputation in the mixed martial arts UFC. Making his return after a 40-second knockout win against Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone last January, McGregor is facing Poirier for the second time. They first fought six years ago at featherweight where McGregor also won by a knockout in the first round.
