Nobiskrug has landed a refit contract for a 120m+ superyacht, two months after it was taken over following financial trouble which threatened the future of the German yard.

The yacht refit contract is the first contract Lars Windhorst, founder and owner of the Tennor Group, has landed since he took over the Rendsburg-based shipbuilder.

Nobiskrug, CEO, Philipp Maracke, said: “Following trustful and productive negotiations, we have managed to successfully re-position Nobiskrug on the market in a very short period of time. The customers appreciate our collaborative approach matched with our longstanding high-quality performance. We will continue to work reliably and professionally on all the shipbuilding projects handed over to us in the future.”

Nobiskrug said it will carry out “comprehensive refit works” on the high-volume yacht. Whilst the yard specialists will complete extensive repair works. The work, scheduled to take several months, will be carried out in a temperature controlled dry dock. The vessel owner wishes to remain unnamed.
