Numarine has reported 13 yachts are under construction at its shipyard in Gebze, Turkey. The models include the 26XP and 37XP (pictured) ranges.

The Turkish shipbuilder sold 12 units in both 2021 and 2022, with the average length growing 16% from 28.6m to 33.5m last year.

“2022 was the best year we have ever had,” Ömer Malaz, founder and chairman, Numarine, told Superyacht Investor. “And it looks like the next 12 months are just going to mimic it.”

The shipyard has also acquired land to expand its production with a new waterside facility. There Numarine will build its new flagship, the steel and aluminium tri-decker 45XP expected to enter serial production.

Malaz said that in the past five years, the company has found a successful niche in explorer yachts. “We’ve delivered over 170 yachts to date, so we now have a very credible pedigree with a niche product.”

He added that owners tend to be 30% from Turkey, 30% US, 20% from other European countries and the remaining 20% from elsewhere.

Numarine also became one of the first yacht builders in the country to be accepted into Turquality, the Turkish government’s brand accreditation and grant support initiative.
