Pelorus has appointed  Gayle Patterson as the head of charter in its Yachting division.

Patterson previously held positions at yacht brokerages Northrop & Johnson and Camper & Nicholson, where she gained years of experience in charter brokerage and charter management. As an avid traveller and yachting enthusiast, Patterson combines experience with an understanding of how best to market and charter superyachts, said Pelorus.

Geordie Mackay-Lewis, founder, Pelorus said: “We are hugely excited to welcome Gayle to the Pelorus team as head of charter. She brings a wealth of experience from across the yachting sector alongside a highly professional, entrepreneurial, and adventurous mindset that matches our ethos perfectly.”

According to her new employer, Patterson is a strong advocate for marine conservation and sustainability. Last week, The Pelorus Foundation appointed Justine Williams as head of its Climate Investment Fund. The charitable arm of Pelorus aims at promoting sustainability and carbon offsetting in superyachting.

“Together, we look forward to building on the success already achieved in growing the experiential element of the yacht market,” said Mackay-Lewis.
